I was in one year program that would teach me Japanese in levels in a fast paced environment. We were given choices as to how we would want to learn and customize our experience at school. I chose to have a part time job while studying having thoughts that I would just magically absorb the Japanese around me and be able to write, read, and speak it.... But I was dead wrong.      Japanese was one of the hardest languages I have studied, not like I have studied a lot of languages...
